Clawson police seek stranger danger suspect

Clawson Police are asking the public for help to find a suspect who tried to pick up a boy who was walking to school Thursday morning.
The incident happened at about 7:25 a.m. on Lincoln Street north of 14 Mile, police said Friday.
The 14-year-old boy told police he was on his way to Clawson Middle School when a blue mini-van pulled up near him and the driver asked him if he needed a ride, according to officials.
He told the suspect he didn't and the van sped away, police said. They also said the boy told officers he didn't recognize the driver.
The incident was reported to police at about 3:30 p.m.
The suspect is described as a white male, about 40 years-old, brown hair and wearing eyeglasses.
Anyone who saw the blue mini-van or the suspect should call the Clawson Police at (248) 524-3477.
