The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is investigating Tuesday the death of a 50-year-old man found in a Rochester Hills hotel room.

Deputies, along with the Rochester Hills Fire Department, were dispatched at 10:48 a.m. to the Red Roof Inn, located at 2580 Crooks Road, on reports of an unresponsive man.

The Sterling Heights resident was found lying in bed and unresponsive by a housekeeper when they entered the room to clean, police said. He was pronounced dead at scene.

The man had been staying at the Red Roof Inn since Saturday, and housekeepers said they had not heard from him since Monday.

Police are investigating and an autopsy is pending with the Oakland County Medical Examiner's Officer. Police said there were no signs of foul play.
