The Madison Heights Police Department made an arrest in a Saturday night stabbing that left one man hospitalized.

It was 10 p.m. Saturday night when a 35-year-old Oak Park man drove himself to Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital with stab wounds.

Police reached him and he said he'd been stabbed somewhere on the 31500 block of Harlo in Madison Heights, which is north of 13 Mile and east of John R, about 45 minutes earlier.

A 33-year-old Troy man was quickly identified as the suspect. The suspect and victim were acquaintances, police say. Circumstances leading up to the stabbing are unclear.

Police found the suspect the location of the stabbing and made an arrest.

Detectives are still investigating, and ask that anyone who knows more about the incident call (248) 585-2100.
