Madison Heights police are investigating the Thursday morning shooting death of a 37-year-old woman, officials said.

Police said they received a 911 call at 8:14 a.m. about a shooting at a home in the 29000 block of Tawas near 12 Mile and John R.

The caller told emergency dispatch that he got into an argument with the victim and shot her, according to authorties.

Police arrived at the home and found the caller, a 44-year-old man. Officers then checked the home and found the body of the woman with a gunshot wound to her head.

Investigators determined the caller was the victim's husband and he was arrested, officials said.

The name of the victim isn't being released until her family has been notified, they said.
