Oakland County Sheriff’s officials are working to find two suspects accused of robbing a Rochester Hills Burger King last weekend.

Investigators said the armed pair approached a 22-year-old worker on a cigarette break near the restaurant in the 2500 block of Crooks about midnight Sunday and forced him inside.

While the 22-year-old was ordered to stay face-down on a food preparation table, one of the suspects forced another worker to the manager’s office, where she opened the safe and emptied an estimated $1,500 into a gray bank bag, authorities said in a statement.

Both suspects fled east on foot.

A K-9 deputy tracked the suspects a short distance but lost their scent near Commerce and Concord, sheriff’s officials said.

One of the suspects is described as an African-American man, about 20 years old, last seen wearing a ski mask, black hooded jacket, gray sweatpants and blue shorts.

The second suspect is described as a 6-foot-tall male wearing all black.

Anyone with tips is asked to call 1-888-TURN-1-IN or 1-800-773-2587.
