Pontiac teen investigated for school shooting threat
Pontiac — A 13-year-old boy is under investigation for allegedly threatening a shooting at his school after being assaulted by other students, Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies reported Friday.
The student, a seventh-grader at Pontiac Middle School, has denied making the threats but will likely undergo a juvenile hearing, deputies said. He was sought out after students said they hear him make the threat “to shoot up the school” after students assaulted him Wednesday afternoon on a school bus.
The witnesses said the seventh-grader had posted a picture of a handgun on a social media page and forwarded it to them, according to a preliminary report. Students told a school liaison officer they had seen him outside the school Thursday morning, but he did not enter the building and fled the area.
