An Interstate 696 closure scheduled this weekend in Oakland County has been canceled, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Westbound I-6969 between Dequindre to US-24 will remain open throughout the weekend due to weather that is forcing MDOT to reschedule the roadwork.

The ramps will also remain open.

However, westbound I-696 in Macomb County remains closed through November.
