Boy critical after being found in Southfield pool
A 9-year-old boy is in critical condition after being found unconscious in a Southfield hotel's pool Monday, police said.
Southfield police and firefighters were called to the Baymont Inn at 27500 Northwestern Highway at about 7:15 p.m. Monday for a report of a drowning, according to officials.
Authorities were told a boy had been found in the hotel's pool. Officers arrived and began performing CPR on the child, police said.
The boy was taken to a hospital, they also said.
