1 wounded in shooting at Southfield's Catalpa Oaks
Southfield — Police are working to find a suspect in a shooting that left one person wounded Wednesday evening at the city’s Catalpa Oaks park.
Officers were called to the nearly 24-acre site on the 27000 block of Greenfield after gunshots were reported about 8 p.m., investigators said in a statement.
Once arriving, police found a male who had been shot “in the lower portion of his body,” according to the release.
The victim, who has not been named, was rushed to an area hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately available late Wednesday.
No other injuries were reported in the incident. Other details were not released.
