Michigan State Police are investigating after a Royal Oak Township home was shot up late Tuesday in the aftermath of a "domestic altercation" earlier that day.

Just before midnight, shots were fired into a home on the 21000 block of Wyoming, which is north of Eight Mile, according to police.

A domestic altercation had occurred earlier in the day, police said. Later that evening, a male suspect and several others returned to the home and tried to contact people at the residence. After getting no response, police said the suspects fired shots into the home and fled.

No injuries were reported, but several shell casings were recovered.
