The Friday lock down at Farmington High School has been lifted, Farmington Public Schools officials said.

The school was placed on a lock down after a magazine of bullets was found in the building, according to the district.

Officials said Friday in a notice to parents the magazine of .40-caliber rounds was found in the high school's auditorium.

The school was placed on lock down as a precaution and officials do not feel students or staff are in any danger, they said.

They also said they are working with police in their investigation and the school was searched with a canine unit.
