Single-car crash kills 1 of three co-workers in Rochester Hills
One 21-year-old man is dead, another is under arrest and a 55-year-old man was injured early Sunday when the car carrying the three restaurant co-workers crashed in Rochester Hills, police said.
The crash took place just before 12:30 a.m. on eastbound South Boulevard at Fredmoor Drive. The driver, a 21-year-old Troy man, was driving a 1988 Dodge Daytona and went left of the center line, through a ditch, before hitting a utility pole.
The crash killed the front seat passenger, also a 21-year-old Troy man.
The driver and the 55-year-old back seat passenger were taken by medics to Royal Oak Beaumont and are in critical condition.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is the law enforcement agency for Rochester Hills. Police believe alcohol is a factor in the crash.
