A 21-year-old man wanted for a hit-and-run crash in Wixom that killed a teenager was arrested Tuesday in Lansing, police say.

Wixom Public Safety Director Ron Moore confirmed Miguel A. Ibarra Cerda was caught at 3 p.m. after authorities launched a statewide manhunt.

Wixom police believe Cerda was driving a blue Honda Odyssey minivan that struck and killed a 14-year-old boy Monday evening.

Justin Lee, a student at Walled Lake Western High School, died Monday evening after he was struck in a hit-and-run car crash on Potter Road near Flamingo Street, according to authorities.

Police said Lee was riding his bike when he was struck by the Honda Odyssey, which was traveling on Potter.

Emergency medical technicians arrived and administered aid to the teen before taking him to a hospital where doctors pronounced him dead from his injuries.

Moore said Tuesday officers recovered the blue minivan in a mobile home park, Stratford Villa, located at Glengary and North Wixom roads in Wixom.

He said investigators obtained video surveillance footage of a man parking the Honda minivan at the location, getting out of the vehicle, going into a mobile home and then leaving the residence with another man and both of them getting into a dark blueChevrolet or GMC pickup.

He said investigators don't believe the crash was intentional.
