Southfield police are asking the public for help finding a man accused in a May 1 shooting.

Marcel Dejuan Bellamy, 27, of Detroit, is being sought on a warrant for eight charges, officials said. The charges include discharging a weapon in a building, possession of a firearm in the commission of felony and assault with a dangerous weapon.

Police said Bellamy is wanted for shooting at a residence on Magnolia Parkway in Southfield at about 2:45 p.m. on May 1.

Bellamy is about 6-foot-tall, about 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police said his last known address is in the 18000 block of Archdale Street near the Southfield Freeway and West Outer Drive in Detroit. Officials also said he has ties to the Atlanta area.
