Police seek suspect in Ferndale bank robbery

Ferndale Police are searching for a man who robbed a Huntington Bank branch on West Nine Mile Monday.

Ferndale police are asking the public to help identify a man who robbed a bank Monday.

Officials said the robbery happened at about 12:30 p.m. at the Huntington Bank on West Nine Mile, west of Woodward Avenue. 

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5-foot-10 and weighing 170 pounds. He was wearing a Federal Premium Ammunition baseball cap, dark sunglasses, a white surgical mask, a black jacket, blue jeans and brown shoes.

Police said the man entered the bank, brandished a black, semi-automatic handgun and ordered a teller to give him money from her cash drawer.

The teller complied and the suspect fled out of the bank's back door, officials said.

Huntington Bank is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect, police also said.
