Ferndale police are asking the public to help identify a man who robbed a bank Monday.

Officials said the robbery happened at about 12:30 p.m. at the Huntington Bank on West Nine Mile, west of Woodward Avenue.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5-foot-10 and weighing 170 pounds. He was wearing a Federal Premium Ammunition baseball cap, dark sunglasses, a white surgical mask, a black jacket, blue jeans and brown shoes.

The teller complied and the suspect fled out of the bank's back door, officials said.

Huntington Bank is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect, police also said.

Anyone who has information about the suspect should call Ferndale Police at (248) 541-3650 or Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-SPEAKUP.
