Two drivers shot at each other, with neighbors and bystanders in the crossfire near a Pontiac intersection this week, Oakland County authorities reported.

Witnesses told sheriff's deputies the pair had been shooting at each other from their vehicles near Clifford and Whittemore about 3 p.m. Tuesday.

As the cars drove away, one of the men inside still was opening fire while passing a 54-year-old woman and shot in her direction, investigators said in a statement.

The Orion Township resident took cover by ducking down in her car, according to the release. There were no injuries but bullets hit a parked car nearby. Another neighbor's car also was struck.

Sheriff's officials recovered multiple shell casings from the scene and canvassed the area for the suspects.

One was  last seen driving a burgundy sedan.

The other was  last seen driving a tan sedan.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Michigan, which has offered a $1,000 reward, at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
