Boil water alert in northwest Rochester Hills

The Detroit News

Homes and businesses on the northwest side of Rochester Hills, north of Tienken and west of Livernois, will need to boil water after the city issued a boil water alert Monday morning related to a loss of water pressure.

When water pressure falls, water is at a higher risk of contamination.

The boil water notice will remain in effect until the city says otherwise, and will only be lifted when samples show the water is safe to drink.

The city says that people who would like to learn more about the boil water alert can call its Department of Public Services at (248) 656-4685.
