The Northville City Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that took place early Tuesday morning during what should have been the completion of an online sale.

Just before 12:50 a.m., in the area of High Street and Elm — south of Eight Mile, west of North Center — the three victims, two men and one woman, arrived to complete the sale, and were approached by "multiple suspects" who emerged from a white Pontiac G6, a four-door.

Some of the men were armed, and they ordered the three victims out of their vehicle and onto the ground, at which point they stole from the victims and their vehicle, before fleeing.

No one was hurt.

Police do not believe the armed robbery was random. A statement from Northville police indicates "there was a pre-existing relationship" between one of the victims and one of the suspects.

No arrests have yet been made, but police say they are "actively pursuing several leads."
