A 20-year-old Clarkston woman has died of injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash last month.

The Washtenaw County Medical Examiner's Office on Thursday notified the Oakland County Sheriff's crash reconstruction unit that Ana Sofia Vega-De-La-Fuente was pronounced dead on Aug. 29 at 2:10 p.m. at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.

Vega-De-La-Fuente was a passenger on a 2006 Liftan C25 motorcycle at 8 p.m. on Aug. 23, when a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado operated by a 56-year-old Clarkston resident rear-ended the bike on Clark Road near Big Lake.

Both Vega-De-La-Funete and the driver of the motorcycle were wearing helmets, Oakland County Sheriff Sgt. Genefer Harvey said. No information on the motorcycle driver's condition was available. The operator of the pickup was unharmed.

The crash remains under investigation.
