Pontiac High School student charged in alleged threat
A Pontiac High School student has been charged with threatening classmates after a fight this week, Oakland County Sheriff's officials said Wednesday.
Derrion Spivey scuffled with two other youths Tuesday then told security personnel who separated them "that he was going to come back to the school and shoot the other students and the school in general," investigators said in a statement.
The 17-year-old was arrested and transported to the Oakland County Jail.
He was arraigned Wednesday in 50th District Court on a charge of disturbing the peace, a 90-day misdemeanor, authorities reported.
Judge Cynthia Walker set bond at $2,500 and ordered the youth to have no weapons or threatening behavior toward any Pontiac High students and staff.
Spivey remained behind bars Wednesday, court records show.
A pretrial conference is scheduled for Oct. 11.
