1 killed, 1 injured in Farmington Hills apartment shooting

Farmington Hills — One man was killed and another injured in an early morning shooting police are calling "not random" inside an apartment complex in Farmington Hills.
Police said the double shooting took place about 1:10 a.m. at the Retreat of Farmington Hills apartment complex on 12 Mile, west of Middle Belt.
Police said they responded to “numerous” 911 calls to the complex and found the two shooting victims. Both were transported to an area hospital where one died. The second victim is expected to survive, police said.
Early investigations indicate the two men were shot from outside the apartment through a glass door.
Police at the scene Monday scene declined to give any further statements. Police are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call (248) 871-2610.
