Man wanted for questioning in Pontiac sexual assault
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help identifying a man wanted for questioning in connection with an August sexual assault of a woman in Pontiac.
Officials said the attack happened at 3:08 a.m. Aug. 18 at the Elektricity nightclub on 15 S. Saginaw St.
On Tuesday, police released photos of the man wanted for questioning in the attack.
Anyone with information about the man or the incident should call Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-SPEAKUP. A $2,000 reward is being offered for tips that lead to a conviction in the case.
Deputies were called to Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak on Aug. 18 to respond to a report of a sexual assault.
They spoke to a 19-year-old West Bloomfield Township woman who told deputies she had been attacked at the nightclub by a subject she knew as "Mike." She also said she had no previous contact with the man before that evening.
She said the man made sexual advances, which she rejected and told the man "No" several times, according to police.
The suspect then pinned her against a wall in a secluded area of the club and sexually assaulted her.
After the attack, the woman left the club and immediately told her family what happened to her, police said. She was then taken to the hospital for treatment.
