Confrontation over 'intimate' relationship ends in hit-and-run in Pontiac
Pontiac — A 44-year-old woman was run over early Saturday morning in Pontiac after being confronted by a woman about her alleged "intimate" relationship with her boyfriend, police said.
The confrontation took place about 4:20 a.m. on Monterey, north and west of University Drive, per a statement from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies arrived to find the victim in the road, wounded.
Witnesses told police that the woman, who they believe to be 25, had shown up to confront the victim with claims she was "having an intimate relationship" with the woman's boyfriend, refused to leave, and argued with other people who lived there.
The woman eventually got in her vehicle and allegedly swerved toward a group of people standing in the street, hitting a parked car.
Then she backed up her vehicle, witnesses said, and struck the 44-year-old she confronted.
Medics took the victim to a hospital, but her injuries are considered "minor" and she was listed in stable condition.
