The Oakland county government's Homeland Security Division plans to host safety exercises in four communities on Wednesday and Friday, the county said.

On Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. exercises will take place in Farmington Hills, Independence Township, the city of Royal Oak and Troy.  Exercises will continue in Farmington Hills on Friday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Citizens who see police, fire or emergency medical personnel gathered as if responding to a public safety emergency in the communities during the exercises should not be alarmed, the county said.
