Oxford attorney explains rejection of Nessel offer to investigate school shooting

The attorney for Oxford Community Schools told Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel's office that the district is already cooperating with Oakland County's prosecutor and sheriff as he rejected Nessel's offer to do a review of the Nov. 30 high school shootings.

"The school district is fully cooperating with the Oakland County prosecutor and Oakland County sheriff, who are already conducting a thorough investigation," district attorney Timothy Mullins wrote in a Monday night email to Christina Grossi, Nessel's chief deputy attorney general. "Additionally, as to our internal investigation, we are working with a team of highly qualified experts.
