Detroit — The Michigan Department of Transportation has announced it will close a section of the Lodge Freeway (M-10) this coming weekend for wall repairs.

The closure will be on southbound M-10 in an area between Eight Mile and McNichols and will last from 8 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday.

The retaining walls that will undergo repairs are located between Meyers and McNichols.

Traffic will be detoured via southbound M-10, eastbound Eight Mile, southbound I-75 and westbound Davison Freeway (M-8).

All on-ramps between the Southfield Freeway (M-39) and Meyers, including the ramp from southbound M-39, will be closed as part of this work.

The southbound M-10 service drive will be closed at McNichols and traffic will be detoured via eastbound McNichols, southbound Meyers and the southbound M-10 service drive.
