Man shot while sitting in car outside Detroit Seafood Market

Detroit —An unidentified man is in critical condition Monday morning after being shot while sitting in a car outside of a local business.

According to the Detroit Police Department the incident occurred at about 2 a.m. outside the Detroit Seafood Market located in the 1400 block of Randolph.

Police said the victim, 41, was sitting in a black 2003 Mercury Marauder when a gunman walked up and began firing. The victim was taken by private transport to Detroit Receiving Hospital.

The perpetrator fled on foot.
