Grosse Pointe Farms — Officers have arrested a suspect in the Wednesday robbery of a Fifth Third Bank.

Police made the announcement Thursday morning.

The bank, which was targeted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, is located at 66 Kercheval in what is known as The Hill shopping district.

The suspect was described by police as being 5-foot-8 and 30 to 35 years old. He was seen wearing a green jacket, blue jeans, and white baseball cap with an Olde English D.

Grosse Pointe Farms detectives, along with the FBI, investigated the incident.

The robbery forced a brief lockdown of both Gabriel Richard Elementary and nearby Grosse Pointe South High School.
