Oak Park man fatally shot in Dearborn

Dearborn — A 23-year-old Oak Park man was fatally shot early Friday morning, according to police.

Police said they were called at 2 a.m. to the area of Ford between Wyoming and Oakman when a passing motorist discovered Rolex Dior Johnson collapsed in the street. Johnson was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

"Crimes of this magnitude are extremely rare in the City of Dearborn, and the loss of life in this incident is profoundly tragic,” Chief Ronald Haddad said. “Our thoughts are with the family of Mr. Johnson and we are committed to utilizing every resource at our disposal to bring the person(s) responsible to justice."
