Detroit — One man is dead and another is in serious condition after a double shooting early Monday on the city’s northwest side.

According to police, the incident occurred at about 4:30 a.m. at a home on Pembroke near Wyoming. Police responded after receiving calls about gun shots at the home.

When police arrived they found a wounded man, approximately 25 years of age, on the ground outside the home. He remains in critical condition at a local hospital.

Police called in the fire department because the home was smoldering. When firefighters entered the home they found an unidentified man dead of an apparent gunshot.
