Garden City — Police are searching for a person of interest in a robbery outside Andrew’s Liquor.

“A taxicab pulled up to the party store and let out a passenger,” said Sgt. Charles Brooks of the Garden City Police Department. “A man inside the party store then ran up to the cab, jumped in and robbed the driver.”

Brooks said he wasn’t sure when the incident occurred at the store at Cherry Hill and Middle Belt roads, but it was earlier in the month. He also said he did not know if the taxi driver was injured during the robbery.

“It has been turned over to the detective bureau,” he said.

There are no suspects at this time.
