Detroit — Police are still trying to determine the circumstances that led to the stabbing death of a 51-year-old man on the city’s west side early Tuesday morning.

According to reports, the incident occurred at about 3:30 a.m. at a home in the 19400 block of Stansbury in an area east of the Lodge Freeway and south of Eight Mile.

“A witness stated the suspect and a victim got into a struggle and the victim was stabbed in the chest,” said Officer Adam Madera.

“According to the medics, the victim was dead at the scene. The witness has changed her version of what happened several times already so circumstances are unclear at this time.”
