Cops investigate shooting death of boy, 17, in Inkster

Inkster — The Inkster Police Department and troopers from the Michigan State Police are a investigating a shooting that killed a 17-year-old boy in the city late Monday night.

At about 10:30 p.m., officers received reports of shots being fired in the area of Beech and Harriet in an area south of Michigan (U.S. 12) and east of Middle Belt.

Arriving officers found the body of Dimetrius Reed, 17, lying in the street next to a bicycle.
