Michigan State Police trooper patrol car rear ended
Detroit — A Michigan State Trooper was injured Thursday night when his patrol was rear ended while policing a traffic accident.
Around 10:55 p.m., the trooper was policing a crash on the right shoulder of southbound Interstate 75 near Warren Avenue. He was sitting in the patrol car, which was parked with its emergency lights on.
Police said a 44-year-old Detroit woman driving a 2008 Ford Taurus lost control of her vehicle because she was driving too fast for road conditions and struck the back of the patrol car. The woman was not injured.
The trooper was taken to a primary care clinic and treated for back and neck pain.
The woman was taken to her job and released.
