Detroit — The Detroit Police Department is seeking help in finding a missing man who left his home Friday and never returned.

Onajae Lee Jones, 19, was last seen on Friday at 9 a.m. when his mother Shawna Lancaster left for work. When she returned home around 3 p.m., Jones was no longer at the home, which is located on the city’s northwest side near Schoolcraft Avenue and Grand River Avenue.

Jones suffered a head injury when he was younger that has left him with the mental capacity of a 9-year-old. Any time he’s left home in the past, he’s come back within a few hours, said Lancaster.

Anyone with information is asked to call the 8th Precinct Detectives Unit at 313-596-5640 or by submitting a tip through DPD Connect.
