Westland police are seeking the public’s help to find a suspect in two “stranger danger” incidents this week.

The first incident was reported about 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Landings apartment complex near Warren and Central City Parkway. A black male described as in his late 20s or early 30s “with a medium/muscular build, a beard, dark bags or circles under his eyes, wearing a dark skull cap and gray hooded sweatshirt approached a 15-year-old male and asked him sexually explicit questions,” police said in a statement.

“The 15 year old walked away from the vehicle and the driver drove away without any further incident. The vehicle was described as gray mini-van, possibly a Chrysler Town and Country.”

At about 4 p.m. Thursday, a caller at the complex told police she saw a suspicious gray mini-van “circling the area as she was waiting for her child to get off the school bus,” police said. The caller was unable to get a description of the driver.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Westland Police Department at (734) 722-9600.
