Detroit police searching for missing man, 20

Detroit — Police are asking for the public’s help locating an Ethiopian man with schizophrenia who has been missing for almost a month.

Binyam Mamo, 20, was last seen by his uncle at 9 a.m. Jan. 12 on the 1700 block of 21st Street, according to police.

Mamo is described by police as 5-foot-8 and 150 pounds, with a medium complexion, short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket and khaki pants and was carrying gray or light-brown luggage and black backpack.

He has been diagnosed with schizophrenia but is in good physical condition, according to police.
