Detroit bus driver charged with assaulting passenger
Detroit — A 55-year-old city bus driver is expected to be arraigned Friday on charges that he physically assaulted a female passenger.
The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office announced Friday it has filed charges against Roy Duane Bell in the alleged Feb. 3 incident. He has been charged with aggravated assault and battery, a misdemeanor.
Authorities say Bell threw the 21-year-old passenger off his bus and then assaulted her on the street in the 8200 block of West Outer Drive.
More details on the case are expected to be released in court about the incident during subsequent hearings.
