Police seek suspect in Grosse Pointe Woods bank robbery

Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a Charter One Bank in Grosse Pointe Woods Friday afternoon.

Around 5:34 p.m., a man walked into the bank on Mack and passed a note to the teller demanding money, according to the Grosse Pointe Woods Department of Public Safety. There was no weapon seen or implied.

The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of money and he left the bank in an older model white Monte Carlo. The vehicle was last seen heading south of Mack.

The suspect is a heavy-set black male weighing about 250 pounds. He was wearing glasses and a skull cap.
