Detroit officer charged with carrying firearm while drunk
A Detroit Police officer has been charged with possessing a firearm while intoxicated at a bar this week, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.
Around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Officer Deloma Stone, 38, was allegedly drunk while carrying her department issued weapon at a bar in the 1800 block of East Eight Mile, prosecutors said. Police were called to the bar and Stone was arrested.
Stone is expected to be arraigned Thursday in 36th District Court on the misdemeanor charge of possession of a firearm under the influence. She faces up to 93 days in jail.
