Man found fatally shot on Detroit’s east side
Detroit — The city’s 33rd homicide victim of 2015 was found lying outside an east-side home Tuesday night with a gunshot wound to the back of his head.
Police responded to a call at about 11:10 p.m. Tuesday to a house in the 10200 block of Greensboro where they found the 55-year-old man, Detroit Police Officer Adam Madera said.
“The victim had a gunshot wound to the back of his head,” Madera said. “He was pronounced dead at the scene.”
The crime scene was just a few blocks east of another homicide that happened Sunday on Philip Street, according to the city’s website, which listed 32 other slayings in 2015 other than Tuesday’s victim, whose identity is known to police, Madera said.
“The circumstances (of the latest homicide) are unknown at this time,” Madera said. “It’s under investigation.”
