The organization is offering a reward of $3,750, an increase of $1,000, for tips received before midnight Friday.

Samuel was shot while sitting with a friend in a dark blue Lincoln MKZ around 11:45 p.m. Dec. 25 in the 15900 block of Carlisle near Eight Mile and Gratiot.

The suspects, two men in a black Nissan Altima, drove up and began shooting. A 24-year-old man, who was also shot, survived.

Police do not have any suspects, Detroit police officer Adam Madera said on Friday.

Samuel was an Indiana Tech graduate who had plans to work with youth in probation.
