More searches planned for missing Wayne State student
Otisville — Another round of searches is planned for a 27-year-old Wayne State University student who disappeared in December after stepping outside a bar in a small Michigan town.
Jeff Watson, team leader for Shiawassee County Search and Rescue, tells The Flint Journal his theory is Ken Gruno is alive.
Plans call for searching around water and ponds. Watson said the team wants to rule out the possibility Gruno went into the water.
With snow and ice melting, search conditions are improving.
Gruno had a credit card with him, but he left his coat behind when he went outside the Otisville Hotel Bar in Otisville in the early hours of Dec. 27. He was visiting with high school friends at the bar.
