Detroit police search for adult group home resident

Detroit — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a resident of an adult group home who has been missing since March 11.

According to police, Mary McClain was last seen leaving a home in the 5000 block of Bedford at about 10 a.m. and hasn’t been seen since.

Police said she had left the home before, but always returned safely.

McClain, 52, is described as an African-American, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and weighing about 136 pounds. Police do not know what she was wearing when she walked away.

Police said McClain suffers from bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
