Livonia — Two longtime teachers in the Livonia Public School District have been suspended over allegations of misconduct.

"We cannot get into specifics on the charges or get into their personnel files publicly," district spokeswoman Stacy Jenkins said Tuesday.

The charges are unrelated to each other, she said.

Jenkins said the the school board unanimously voted Monday, during a special meeting, to suspend David Adkins and Kelly Graham. Graham is a 27-year employee and Adkins has worked in the district for 20 years.

Graham is a teacher at Stevenson High School.

Jenkins said the teachers will remain on paid suspension until the conclusion of the tenure commission's hearings and decision, per state tenure laws.

"Because these are personnel matters, we are limited on what we can disclose," said Jenkins.
