Lincoln Park — A 19-year-old Lincoln Park man faces several charges in connection to a shooting Tuesday.

Prosecutors have charged Tobias James Catron with assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm, felonious assault and felony firearm.

Catron turned himself in Thursday after investigators released his identity to help in their search, police said.

Police say Catron is believed to be involved in the shooting of a 44-year-old man during an argument around 4:40 p.m. Tuesday on the 1400 block of Mayflower Avenue.

The victim is receiving treatment for a gunshot wound to the neck, police said.

A woman named Heather Drogosch identified herself as Catron’s sister on her Facebook page, where she pleaded on Thursday for the man to surrender to police.

She updated her post late Thursday after Catron was taken into custody.

“My brother Toby Catron is in (Lincoln Park) police custody, he has turned himself in,” she said. “Thank you everyone for helping with leads and sharing along with all your prayers for both (families) affected.”
