A Dearborn youth is expected to survive after he allegedly was stabbed Monday by his older brother, police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call Monday evening with a report of a stabbing on the 7700 block of Steadman, Sgt. Gary Mann said.

“They found a young boy who had been stabbed,” Mann said. “We got suspect information and took the suspect into custody without incident.”

The boy’s 20-year-old brother was located and arrested near the home, Mann said. The boy was taken to a local hospital for treatment. His condition late Tuesday morning was not available.

Police expect to submit a warrant request to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office by Wednesday morning, Mann said. If charged, the suspect will be arraigned later this week.
