As of Monday evening, four Dearborn Public Schools remained without power due to an early-morning fire at a DTE substation.

School officials say they will determine early Tuesday if the following schools will open Tuesday for classes: Lowrey Middle School, Oakman Elementary School, Maples Elementary School and William Ford Elementary School.

“Due to the uncertainty of when power will be restored, the district will continue to monitor the situation throughout the evening and make a decision regarding whether or not school will be open by 5:30 a.m., Tuesday...,” district officials wrote in an email to the school community.

The decision will only affect the four schools without power. Other schools in the district will be open Tuesday.
