A cash reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for the public’s help in finding a serial rapist committing assaults during home invasions in the area.

The suspect is most active from midnight to 6 a.m., according to Dearborn police. He enters homes through unlocked doors and windows and then commits burglaries and sexual assaults.

“We are asking the public to secure their residences and to report any suspicious activities around their homes,” officials said in a statement Wednesday. “We are also asking if anyone knows of someone who is frequently unaccountable from midnight to 6 a.m. to call the tip line.”

The suspect is described as a black male, 5-foot-7 to 6 feet tall with a thin build.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000. Anonymous tips can be made by contacting 1-800-SPEAK UP (1-800-773-2587, or text CSM and a tip to CRIMES (274637).
